Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm

The aorta is the largest artery in the body. The part of the aorta that runs from the heart to the abdomen is known as the thoracic aorta. A balloon-like dilation of this artery is known as a Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm (TAA). If the TAA becomes sufficiently enlarged it may significantly increase the risk of rupture and severe internal bleeding. At Vascular, Interventioal & Vein Associates we are specialized in minimally invasive techniques for treatment of TAAs.
